BOX LEAGUE RULES - Largs

1. All communications about the League will be made through our WhatsApp Community - Box Leagues group.

2. There are 4 players in each box. Players are listed 1,2,3 and 4 based on results of immediately previous competition. The boxes form a numbered league with Box 1 being top. 

3. Each player pairs up in turn with each other player in their box and plays doubles matches; 3 matches for each box competition round. Each pairing plays one game to 15 points, normal pickleball scoring rules and no setting ( i.e first to 15 is the winner)

4. The Box League administrator will confirm promotions and demotions for the next round of competition, and the player composition of each box, based on the results of the previous round. These will be communicated through the WhatsApp Community - Box League. 

5. It is the responsibility of the person numbered 3 in each box to liaise with other box members and book a court for that box’s competition. The person listed 3rd may find it easiest to create a private WhatsApp group for their box to organise the fixture.

6. It is the responsibility of the person numbered 2 in each box to record the results. The scorer should then send the results, picture or written to the WhatsApp Community - Box League group.

7. The deadline for each Box round of competition will be the end of the month, unless communicated otherwise, through the Box league WhatsApp Community - Box League group.

8. New players are welcome to join the Box Leagues, invitations will be notified on WhatsApp Community - Box League group. Please state what level you are.

9. Players may leave the box leagues at the end of the completed month, if they feel they cannot play in the next round. Please notify us through our WhatsApp Community - Box League group.

10. Box League results can now be added into the DUPR ratings algorithm, so long as all 4 members of the box league have a DUPR account.  Once you have a DUPR account, please join the Largs Pickleball Club within DUPR to have your scores added into your rating.
